Default Chevy Volt vs. Ford EV

Did any of you notice a couple years back when the Volt was reveled at the auto show that it was a clay and plastic mock-up? I liked the idea and looks, especially the very efficient diesel motor to assist. But, did any of you notice a few booths over Ford and a running Escape EV / hybrid? Now they are getting ready to launch another EV - pure EV - Transit Connect next year in the US. Now that Ford's quality has surpassed Honda and is equal to Toyota, this looks really good.
