Default Kelly KBL Controller questions

We are building an EV and having a couple of issues. There seems to be some confussion regarding as to ground the B- of the controller to the chassis/frame or not. Additionally, does anyone have any experience with grounding the reverse switch to modify the rotational direction of a mars/etek motor? If so, can someone speak to the possible ramifications of such an action? Does this compromise the motor and/or controller in any fashion? Do we loose certain function capabilities of the controller, such as regen braking?

Lots of questions. Any help is greatly appreciated.
